A business plan should be a work-in progress. Even successful, growing businesses should maintain a current business plan. Preparing a comprehensive written business plan on how a business will achieve growth and prosperity creates a map for the business’ success.
Business owners use a plan to manage their business most effectively to produce a profit. In addition, the business plan is the basic documentation from which financial proposals to lenders and investors will be prepared.
A Business Plan is a written document that describes all aspects of a business venture, including:
- Who you are?
- Where you are located?
- Your basic product or service?
- How you will produce and market it?
- Who your customers are?
- Who your competition is?
- How you will finance the business?
In short, it outlines comprehensively yet concisely what the business objectives are and how it will be achieved within a budget. It is important to understand each facet of a business to ensure a successful business. It is therefore important that each entrepreneur get involved with the development of a business plan.
New world entrepreneurs do not have the access to money or financial institutions to ensure a well planned business plan which will form a platform for a successful business. They often can not manage a business due to the lack of a well planned business plan which leads to a low success rates. Financial institutions have become very weary of lending money to SME’s due to the low success rate. Complete involvement in the business plan has proven results for success.

- The business plan training will be for one day in Durban North.
- The training will be at a centre that has the complete set up to do the training.
- You can bring your own computer which will make it easier to complete after the course.
- 15 people per day.
- Tea and lunch will be served.
- Starts at 8h30 and completion will be at 16h00
- The investment in the one day course will be R 2500.00 excluding VAT. If you are a member of the chamber of business the course will be R 1900.00 excluding VAT.
- The course dates are the 21st of June or 5th and 19th of July. A minimum of 15 students per day.
